Article #85: Ninja, Inzect, Gagagagagagaga The main site was down when I first wrote this article, and therefore I actually posted this ORCS review first on my Tumblr blog (I still have to understand what is so good about it...it is just to me it is a little bit easier to use compare to "heavy blog" site like blogspot). So, since I have the time anyway, I will repost the review onto the main site. Card Trends and theme: Archetype wise, this set introduced Inzecter series, which is a Kamen Rider/Dragunity Insects. Anime-related wise, the set includes some cards from Yuma, Ryoga, Kaito, Astral, and others. I'm not sure about the exact count for anime card, but from my knowledge there are 33 of them (less than half…an OK amount). The anime series introduced in this set includes Photon and the Armored Ninjas. The other themes include in the set included Evoldo/Evoldar from PHSW, Zenmai (Spring), other Ninjas, and a Mist Valley card. This time up, there is a Fusion monster, something that had not been in a set for a while. Deck Types: For deck types that get boosts: Useful cards: - Gagaga Girl (the card is still slow and pretty weak right now…until support comes) Now, of course, my choice of worst card in the set...and it is? Big Revolution Reversal: This card itself is not bad, if not there is a card called "Starlight Road" I would say cards like [A Wish to the Star] and [Dark Genocide Cutter] would make the list. These two cards are super limited in their requirement and I doubt it is that useful 99% of the time. The set power is a little bit on the "meh" side usual. Of course, the set already created a Tier 1.5 Inzecter, but it is more as result of a pretty "broken" combo rather than the theme itself is good. The Evoldo support is still super "meh", so is the unthemeness of Yuma's card, make me sometimes appreciate that E-Hero is actually related to each other somehow. At last, I want to break Gagaga duo badly :). Until next time, where I don't know what my article would be...maybe another year in review? - Baron, 12/1/2011 |
